DIY SILKSCREEN PRINTED PATCHES

This workshop is for the DIY-lovers, the punk folks with the denim jackets covered in patches and pins, and potentially...YOU!

During the course of this workshop, we'll guide you on the process of designing a simple one-color patch design (these are on the smaller size - around a business card/post-it note!) and show you how the process works when using sheets of emulsion coated silk-screens. We'll expose everyone's designs, and then everyone will get to individually print their own patches -- we'll be providing recycled fabric for use, or you can bring in your own!

You bring:

• Yourself! And maybe a friend?

• Your ideas! (Maybe you've got a design you've always wanted to make into a patch? Maybe you have a secret catch phrase?!)

• Optional: fabric to use for your patches

We provide:

• Fabric (scraps, recycled fabric, mixture of canvas and cotton and linen blends)

• Ink for printing (black, white, blue, yellow, red - inks can be mixed to create other colors!)

• Paint pens (for additional decorating)

• Silk screen

• Sharpies

• Transparency sheets (this is what your design will go on before we expose it to the silk screen!)
