PRINTING ON THE RISOGRAPH
WHAT IS THE RISOGRAPH?
Think about the risograph as a combination of screen printing and photo copying. Prints are created by printing one layer of ink at a time on specifically uncoated paper stock - using a subtractive color mixing process to recreate full-color photos and illustrations. The process results in each print having its own unique feel!
We offer full service risograph prints, or you can sign up for a private lesson/risograph workshop and print them yourself!
WHAT CAN I GET PRINTED ON THE RISOGRAPH?
All sorts of things! Illustrations, invitations, zines -- the limit is your imagination (and the printable area of the paper you're working on).
HOW DO I SET UP MY FILE FOR THE RISOGRAPH?
We have a blog article written up about how you can format your images for the risograph using Adobe Photoshop. We also reccomend checking out Spectrolite, a program that can automatically seperate images into divided color layers.

No problem! To get help setting up your photo or illustration for the risograph, book a private lesson (NOT studio hours) here. Upload your illustration/photo while booking your private lesson, and make sure to check the 'Risograph File Setup' option!

An 8.5x11" Cover Weight print with 3 colors/layers at a quantity of 150 prints:
$3*3 (masters) = $9
$0.20 * 150 (paper) = $30
3 layers * 150 prints = 450 Impressions
$0.10 (impressions) * 150 (prints) = $15
